Stay with UsHolland Lake Lodge was built in 1924 as a guest lodge. At the time it opened, it was a two-day stage coach ride from Missoula to the lodge. The main lodge burned in 1946 and was rebuilt with the current structure the following year. Power was brought into the valley in the late 50’s, and Highway 83 was paved in the early 60’s.
This property reflects authentic Montana, with charming rustic lakeside cabins, a proud main lodge circa 1947, and to-die-for food served in the dining room. Described as a small slice of heaven, this intimate getaway will give you the full Montana experience: a respite from it all with plush accommodations, stunning mountain views, a jumping point for adventure and genuine attentive service.
Holland Lake Lodge is excited to build a sustainable future so guests can enjoy time in the outdoors with their families for years to come. A plan was submitted to the U.S. Forest Service to preserve the lodge, barn, and manager’s cabin, and add new guest accommodations, a restaurant, and a welcome center. These enhancements are anticipated to start as early as 2024 and are thoughtfully planned to maintain Holland Lake’s legacy and natural resources.
